Winter Storms...

I'm on holidays! This week end I've been watching Desperate Housewives "en boucle", I'm at season 4 right now... It's my newest obsession and since I have to wait almost 3 weeks for the latest DH episode to come out, I'm just watching all the seasons.

Still not in a real Christmas mood, we're still renovating, so no tree in sight (yet...) and even less Christmas jingles.

Aaaaah, that felt nice. Doesn't it feel more Christmassy already?

Burberry Winter Storms Collection
Burberry Winter Storms Collection

Oh, and the pictures are from Burberry's Winter Storms
collection. I love their collection, however, I have to say that the coats and boots are definitely NOT warm enough for winter storms. (At least not here.), it's more like rain storms, but who am I to judge, I still love Burberry.

I'll post pictures of Toronto soon, it's getting pretty snowy and festive, with lights and all.

More later.

PS: And gift of the day... Pardon my lack of creativity, but all I have to offer is something from Burberry's Winter Storms collection. xx

Breeyn McCarney

Breeyn McCarney, a designer who really inspires me, with, it seems a love for fairy tales and wonderland, and  shows off her new breath taking designs in her new FALL 2010 collection: HARD-BOILED WONDERLAND.

Oops, I may have interpreted wrong- the collection was created with the idea of finding beauty out of despair. It really reminds me of the poor princesses, or rather the peasant girls who become princesses. I honestly cannot wait to put my hands on one of her designs, they are beautiful.

Only 10 more days till christmas!
GIFT OF THE DAY:
The lone hopper necklace. You can order at her Etsy Shop by clicking on THIS LINK

christmas shopping... i wish it was for me, but it wasn't.

Today I went to Bloor St. West, that all my amigos in the GTA know as the designer street.
I'm not going to tell you what I bought incase my parents drop by and see, buuuuut- here's a picture.

I was so proud to hold that LOUIS VUITTON bag in my hand, FIRST TIME!
Too bad it was raining, and I was actually holding up my umberella over my bags to protect them from the rain, and letting my hair get all frizzy (NEVER a good idea) but oh well.

ps: I'm not sue what that doll is doing in the backround. I sometimes take her out because she smells like vanilla.

Ok, so today I went to H&M, hoping to get something pretty, buuuuuuuuut, problem was...

*Lady at H&M entrance gives me a pink wristband. I felt so pro and V.I.P*
-"Okay so that'll be from 3:05 till 3:20" (basically since it was the first day, you had 15 minutes to shop and then that was it. Problem was, I had ballet from 3 to 5 (I know it sucks) and I couldn't get in before!
We explained to the lady our problem, and she told us to come back tomorrow because there would be alot of returns since people just grabbed things and the size wasn't right or blah blah blah, soooo, I'm going tomorrow!

"Can I place my order for gray mink muffs?"

Not much to say guys, my stomach is stuffed with pizza and halloween candy.

I'm totally loving muffs. Ever since I wore them on Halloween (sorry, no pictures yet the only ones I have are cell phone quality and, therefore, not presentable, sorry Zo.)Especially the Elmo ones. And that bag right above. (If anyone know where I can get one, please, please tell me!) And, well the one on the first picture. It just makes so me so happy inside. Alright, maybe not that happy, but still.

I'm a porcelain doll (and possibly in a coma)

Yep.

You read right.

For Halloween, Rachel, Zoe and I are being porcelain dolls. We came up with that idea last night (I know, we plan last minuto) over brownies and Halloween candy (from a few years ago I'm ashamed to inform you)

We went to Value Village this morning and got 3 dresses (Zoe's and mine weren't that expensive, but Ray got her's for 7$ and we got ours for 16$, but oh well)
I fell in love with the deep red velvet and the whole "dolliness" of it. I had to kind of force myself into thought because those second hand stores to smell and feel a bit gross even though they have great finds. I really love the pale look. It's never looked better in fact. I feel like being pale now instead of tanned (it may just be my excuse for being in this cold country, but it'll do.)

I found the most gorgeous red and gray knit skirt (it looks better than it sounds) but it was 20$ and I still needed more money for the fabric for the hand muffs.

I'll be a little Russian Winter Edition Porcelain doll with a pulse of 82 beats per minute and other things I know you won't understand but it basically meant that I was in a coma or dead. Weird right?
I went to Shoppers with the girls and decided to do that blood pressure machine thing. The numbers went like this:

SYS:56
DIA:38
PULSE:82

I had no idea what they meant so I went to the pharmacists' local or whatever they call it. The guy took a look at the receipt with all the numbers on it and look utterly worried (hee hee that sounds so novel-y)and said he needed another pharmacist check it. I just figured it was cause he had a "PHARMACIST STUDENT" tag on.
They came back a few seconds later, both wearing a distinct concern face on (woah! I am such a novelist)and the woman asks me:
"Is this yours?", I figured she asked that because I'm not sure I can pass for 16 and there was a sign saying: IF UNDER 16, HAVE PARENTAL AUTHORISATION or something of that sort, so I thought she would give me a whole big lecture.
So, I said it was and she looked at me with wide eyes: "You shouldn't be alive right now."
Well, that was awkward really. All I could find to reply was: "Oh." "You shouldn't be standing and talking to me right now.", "Oh well I didn't eat much this morning so...", "Do you eat normally?", "Yeah I do, I was just kinda in a hurry... but Zo just gave me a Granola bar...", "Ok well sit down for 5 minutes and do it again..."
I did and the numbers weren't great but definitly weren't as bad. My pulse did get higher but just by one ''point'' or whatever they call it.
I went back to the pharmacist and she looked at it, and said: "Ok, well this is okay for low blood pressure. Before it was coma."

Don't judge me, but it was pretty cool to have a near-death experience. I could've been falling into a coma or been in a living-coma (not sure it exists but I could be like a new medical find)
I wish I knew. Oh well.

I wish I could be a Chanel-Gurl for Halloween.

Halloween is this sunday. I haven't been in Canada for 6 years and in my little Frenchie town, no one really celebrates Halloween so I can't wait to eat 10 pounds of candy, just like in the good old days.

Défilé Chanel 2011
Ok, so I wish I could be one of these girls sunday, but, well I might be a bit... *cough cough* broke after *cough*.
I love the whole theme. It has something about it, that is just so... "Fairy tale-ish". Lemme tell you. Fashionista lives in the coldest place in the world. Let's name her Chanhassen. She wants to be warm and, well fashionable. So, she decides to go to Mr. Lagerfeld lugging a polar bear into his office and says: "I want a Chanel outfit. I live in the coldest place on earth. Do ya' thang'' she tells him, and turns around on her heels dropping the polar bear (Yep, she gets a tad ghetto at the end)
Soooooo, Mr. Lagerfeld makes her a WHOLE wardrobe to survive (fashionably) in the coldest place on earth. Ta-da, pleaaaaase welcome Chanel's Fall/Winter collection 2010/2011
Défilé Chanel 2011

I was going to be Karl Lagerfeld with a few friends but then we decided to be nerds instead. Just 'cause it was easier I guess. Don't worry, next year I'll be Karl.

Oh Anna.

I know she'll hate me for this, but I am literally in love with this picture.

I'm not sure what I prefer, the goggles, the smile or the colorful necklace. All of it I think. Forgive me Banana, you know I love you.

I'm sick and home from school, shamelessly wearing sweats, (I know what you're thinking- ''YUCK!'' and so am I, but what can you do, I don't want to puke on nice clothes.)

Designers such as Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs and Stella McCartney consider the planet and go green (It has been said that green is the new black! Not sure about that but, oh well).
I'm loving the eco-totes despite their prices. (I'd rather pay a dollar at the supermarket than 425$ but you know...). What do you think about these green bags? In or Out?

I think they're a great green idea but the prices are really unreasonable. If they want more people to use reusable totes, lower your prices guys. No one cares if you're Ralph Lauren right now, we just need to help out the planet. We're talking about reusable grocery bags. Not diamond studded clutches.
